St. Mary’s Park Greening is a group of residents working together to increase the number of trees and green, drought tolerant landscaping in the neighborhood.  We do this to have a positive environmental impact, to add beauty and improve safety in our neighborhood and get to know our neighbors.

Everyone who lives in St. Mary’s Park is welcome to participate!  Check out our Events pages for more details and to get involved.

RECENT NEWS:  Landscaping and Mural Work Almost Done!

Mural Project

The mural at the top of College Avenue is complete! The mural was completed by our very own St. Mary’s Park resident, Matt Evans.

Median Landscaping

Over the past few months the Gardener’s Guild has been hard at work installing landscaping on the two middle medians of College Avenue. This was quite an undertaking as they first removed all of the dirt and weeds, laid down gopher wire, edging and crushed gravel. Next they planted small (but mighty) plants and irrigation. Finally, they spread mulch to keep out the weeds and help with water retention.  There are a few outstanding parts to the project:

Volunteer Work Day: Sunday, September 8 at 10:00 am

Please join us and help weed the newly landscaped medians.  No gardening experience is necessary.  Meet at the intersection of College Avenue and Murray Avenue.  Bring your gardening gloves, small weeding tool and a bottle of water.   No RSVP needed, just who up!
